"Porn for women"

Can someone explain what the category "porn for women" means?

Most of the vids this site suggests are lesbian vids. If that's what "porn for women" means then why not call it "lesbian porn"?

I haven't really explored it here but I noticed on another site that the "Popular with Women" category seemed to have a lot more cock-worshipping blowjobs and handjobs than I expected and a bit of lesbian stuff. I'm not sure how they figure out who likes what because it was a site that I'd never even realised had accounts because it all seemed available as a guest. I suppose I expected to see videos of a charming, well-dressed, handsome man being overcome with longing and strongly but tenderly forcing himself upon a woman, taking pleasure in giving her pleasure. Then again, I'm a man, and a single one at that, so I really am guessing.

Hi Emma, a great question! Having browsed Xh's "Porn for Women" category I'd say Xh hasn't a clue either. It should, of course be down to women like you to choose what fits that category. Why not state what you'd like to see in it here and who knows, it might snowball. I'm sure many blokes would be interested in what sort of stuff you'd like to see. "Experts" are always telling us it's very different from the stuff men like. But you're the experts really!

Id like to think it was porn where the ladies were shown respect and the female body is given all the respect it deserves. But that’s what I like. Maybe that should be call porn for “romantic but very horny straight guys who love and appreciate sexy ladies” like me. I Might need to work on the title a lot!! 😆

Back in the early 2000s, 'Porn for Women' became a popular way to categorise and market porn that aimed to be less vulgar and degrading than the then predominant 'Gonzo' style, where not very attractive guys would pretend to meet a female stranger and within a couple of minutes be ramming their cocks down their throats. Firms like Joy Bear began using female directors to shot scenes that brought back plot lines, used conventionally attractive guys rather than the aesthetically challenged village idiots that the more brutal stuff was using, and included longer foreplay scenes. Nowadays though the tag is applied to any old garbage you care to mention, to the point where it's become utterly meaningless. It's as common today to see a vintage scene with a storyline tagged 'porn for women' as it is to see a hardcore German bukkake scene where 28 fat blokes with masks shoot their mucky yogurt over a veteran porn chick who's sampled thousands of cocks. I've seen "porn for women" tags in pretty much every genre: lesbian, bdsm, peeing, bi mmf etc. I suppose it depends on which women they're trying to target, but yes the category is pretty unhelpful in the end.
