My name is Alik Lazgevis, and the word 'ZIBLIZET' which mysteriously names my profile is actually the Disfodish reflexive verb meaning 'to please (oneself)'; ít's an ironic reference to both the concepts of 'pleasing oneself' but also 'mocking onself'. Double meanings and matroshka-doll like layers of meaning are part and parcel of understanding what I do. The ultimate joke within a joke is the fact that 'Disfodish" is an entirely imaginary language that these films have been made in; I inventented it to use in my art. Thanks for all the positive comments. These films are deliberately ambiguous and although they use pornographic images they make simultaneous use of other semiotic systems which function to direct the attention of the viewer towards other themes. Some people find this unsettling and probably helps to explain why they feel necessitated to express their anger in the form of negative comments. There is no right way to react to this work; whatever it may make you feel - horny, confused, angry, excited, stimulated or bored - are equally valid.
