So I am a geek.
Not an easy thing to admit.
I like Star Wars, the LOTR Trilogy, Comics, Action figures, Robot Chicken, the 80's, having terrible hair...Supergirl was my first crush, do I need to say more !??? Very difficult to admit. Lots of Geekophobe in this country.
I am gay. I had no problems coming out to my parents when I was 16. Their oldest daughter is a dyke. No big deal. I guess they knew. They were very happy about it, gave me a hug and told me they will always be there for me. It was a great moment. However they were very disappointed when I told them I was a geek. My dad was furious. "You can't be a geek, not you, no no !!". He was crying, my mom was out of her mind, their entire world was crashing down. Yep, their lesbian daughter is a geek. Difficult to accept.
I'm 21, single and have a very busy social life. Too many friends, too many people texting me, too many geeky conversations on a daily basis....Right now I'm doing nothing. Absolutely nothing. Nada. A few months ago I was going to College, but I kinda quit. Too much pressure I guess. I should be looking for a job but I'm not ready. Or I am way too lazy. I just don't want to, ok !? I live with my parents and my younger sister, we are a classic middle-class family, living in the suburb, going to church once a year because "we have to". I am the black sheep of the family, the little rebel. A little rebel who recently bought a fabulous Star Wars T-shirt. I got all these tattoos when I was 19 just because I could. My parents were not upset about it, they were still trying to accept the reality that I am a geek.
I'm here because I want to chat with some of the girls here, maybe finding a GF. I don't have a job and don't go to school, I guess I have time for a little girl drama in my life.
