One of my late wife's favorite pastimes was touring the back roads looking for new friends and fun. On one such trip a few years ago we stopped in a small greasy spoon for a burger and a beer. There were this place's answer to "Norm and Cliff" sitting at the bar, the bar tender/fry cook and two other couples sitting in one of the booths. When I wrote my first blog a few months ago at my wife's urging to document our wild ride, I had intended to regularly add to my library of stories. Unfortunately my wife of just over 40 years passed unexpectedly. I went into a funk and didn't do much of anything for 2-3 months. When I finally started going through her things, I found a letter saying that she had known she was dying for some time.
