Basic Rules for Good Orderly Discipline
I have three basic rules:
1. Tell Me everything-- the good, the bad, the ugly. I want to know how to reward, and punish so I must know the desires and fears to provide direction. This is also how I am able to keep tabs on issues that may turn into severe problems. I have to know about things to properly address them.
2. Respect Me at every junction - Ask permission for everything knowing just because you ask does not mean it will be granted. However, failure to ask permission is a quick route to disappointment and worse.
3. Obedience is essential -- Follow My direction no matter how arbitrary or unfair it seems. Remember I am leading this enterprise and that means I am charged with the responsibility of looking out for the iceberg in the distance. I may not see everything but standing on you I see more. Therefore, it is obedience that will allow for a steady course and better outcome.
