Miss Golden Sparkle 2018

Went to get the "feel" of the day about 1pm -2pm.....
watched the singing contest.........found all were enjoying the event................

well i am entered for the Miss Golden Sparkle..........
I am so looking forward to Ambition of entering a contest....
after filling out the form.we girls start to chat and there is a joy in the backstage tent that is so overwhelming ..........
we all try to help each other to lose the nerves of going on stage............i am "bopping" to the beat of the music...I am number 6 and a co-contestant turns to me and says .....ooooohhh your the Prisoner from that old Television series we all laugh as sadly we are in the Golden years so we all remember ......lol
we are asked to get in line....
the lady organizing starts to count each of us off......12345........SIX i shout jumping up wooooohoooooo six..(just trying to hide my nerves)

The contestants to the Miss Sparkle go up in turn and we all start to clap supporting each other............some take it steady down the backstage steps.........1 actually jumps.....and gets a cheer....but all with smiles on their faces
well...all 14 have been .........now...its our turn .........SIX i shout when the organizer says girls into line.........many laugh....here we go..

and now its Linda number six.............(please god dont let me fall on my ass) i whisper ..........this is it...then i hear the tones in my head of years gone by...when Eric Morley, saying next Miss United Kingdom............ this is what i dreamt of ......go out Linda and just have a hell of a time..

I remember going up the steps.......and it was like i am another person........yes..i am.i am Linda Tiffany Vista......i hear 1 saying Go for it girl...work it.............well i hope you get to see the you tube when its out .

i will be interested what i did....

well.........i am a Chocolate Digestive (you will understand if you see it......) ohhhh Linda you say everyone likes a little sweetness sometimes.....lol

all the girls take their turn after a little hiccup....
the waiting now..i signal to my wife........probably 4th or 5th their are some gorgeous girls ..........

its our turn on stage ..we just hutch up so all get in line.....i turn sideways..........OK yes i have got my fingers crossed......perhaps 3rd?
We are all winners its announced

2nd runner up is called..........oh .not me..well i did my best
i look down at my red wedge heels
come on Lin....support the girls i say to myself..
i see all the smiling faces in the crowd........and the mobiles are out taking pics
I am here...I did it ...i am in front of lots of people.....DRESSED..........a tear start to fill my eye .......i look up .thank you god...............
the runner up is......ohhhhh yes she lovely.deserves it.....
i look to my left and then to my right........and after a while i hear a name.........................Linda

shes looking at me........i shake...............i cant move

OMG.............me?
i still cant move.........yes you won ........someone says.....
i step forward ....i am in a dream many things i cant remember from that point.........i thank my wife .....and then thank Tammy Collins...............

i am truly sorry if there was other things but my mind had gone ......just spinning......
I did it..............i am given my Sash and Tiara by last years winner.....we convey how proud we are of all the girls.

So get yourself down there next year and enjoy life to its full
the saying is so true..................Life...its not a rehearsal...
