How my swimsuit fetish began
About a year ago I read a book called "Perv, the sexual deviant in all of us" by Jesse Bering. I learned a hell of a lot more about human sexuality from this book than I did from those awkward mandatory sex ed classes in high school or even from the internet (including the hamster :) Because not even xham could tell me why I'm a bisexual male with a serious fetish for womens swimsuits...
If you read Perv, you'll find that 99% of people with a fetish are men, whatever the fetish is... feet, BDSM, crossdressing, a****ls, midgets, or my beloved swimsuits, it's men who have fetishes not women. A fetish or partialism as Bering calls it, is created very early in someones mind. Usually in the 4-10 years old range a young man (or rarely a young woman) has an experience, sometimes sexual but usually not that sets a permanent u*********s liking for something in their mind and when puberty hits it becomes a permanent part of their sexual identity.
So, why do I lust for swimsuits? When I was 8-9 i was taking swimming lessons and I loved boobs. I liked to "hug" my female swimming instructors so I could feel those boobs. (What do you want? I was 8 and not exactly subtle) The twenty-something ladies soon learned to keep me at arms length and my mom told me off for doing it, but my fetish was already set. I love swimsuits (and boobs) 20+ years later here I am, typing out a post about sex, while wearing a swimsuit I bought from walmart yesterday :)
P.S.
About that book "Perv" READ IT! Bering goes into the concept of "personal harm". Personal harm means "does any act, sexual or not potentially harm someone." Most fetishes harm nobody and those that could be dangerous most people reign in...such as BDSM. Most BDSM lovers are what Bering calls "Velvet Dragons" They look scary to those on the outside, but once you are in...it feels pretty good ;)
