Hemming Up my Skirts

I recently ordered from Swap.com 2 skirts in size XL. Well, when I received them the other day they were a 19-inch length. Too long for me to show plenty of leg. :) I took them to the local dry cleaners that do alterations and asked that they hem them up 4 inches so they would be 15 inches in length. The woman looked at the two skirts and measured up 4 inches. Then she looked at me and smiled and said that would be pretty short and if you were to bend over your ass would show. Not sure if she realized they were for me or not. What would you have said in reply? She caught me off guard and I said OK, then take 3 1/2 inches off.

to hottvcarole : I do not know how to sew, but it may be a good talent to have as I have seen many dresses/skirts that I love but they are too long.

Probably the same or I would have waited till I was alone at home and used the sewing machine and taken them up 5 inches to be real tarty

I would have offered to change & put one of the skirts on & show her what I wanted to show by bending over for her!

to DTknox : The seamstresses cost was pretty high ($10). I decided it was much cheaper to buy the 14 inch length to begin with. This length (14 inches) certainly does not leave much to ones imagination. As I am typing this I am admiring my legs (etc) while looking down at my miniskirt

I do love your miniskirt pics with the visible white panties. Lets a guy know 100% he's getting a view. If the seamstress did good work for a fair price, you could always get another long skirt, take it back to her and say " I was told it really does need to be the full 4 inches"

to DTknox : I have since purchased 7 miniskirts (from Swap) that are 14 inch lengths. They loo and feel so much sexier.

to andrea184 : I agree. I also love the feel of the miniskirt on the back of my thighs as I walk. Nothing beats a miniskirt. I like them 14-15 inches total length. Nice look when bending over. And at that length they are about one inch short of exposing my panties when I sit down.

I like having my skirts short , when I stand up they have to be just below my hosed crotch about one inch , when I sit down love it when it rise up to show my stocking tops and panties or my hosed crotch
