About those deleted vids...

I seemed to have noticed that two different things have happened with these missing vids. Some have stayed on my profile but have that big "DELETED" sign on them. Which is usually what happens when a particular user retires his profile. And it does seem like a lot of those vids may have been from one user.

However, there are other vids that are just COMPLETELY gone. I mean, they don't even say deleted, they have just vanished from my profile altogether. As if they never existed.

Has anyone else noticed this too?

to miklos : I don't think they can. If you are seeing comments from them, they are probably old ones

Question- How can 'retired' profiles still continue to post comments?

I just figured that the ones that have "deleted" on them were pulled by xhamster for copy right issues. when someone retires their page then the videos would disappear, but I could be wrong..

I hardly pay attention to the retired profiles. I seen some deleted vids, even ones that were just uploaded. Lol

I couldn't agree more. When I'm in the mood for a certain genre, it's challenging to find that certain video I'm thinking about. First world problems

Great idea, don't often to the vids added earlier

No literally all of mine got deleted, though in the past I deleted those that were deleted as a result of contributors leaving.

It's actually a shame that one dude, whoever he is, retired his profile. I must have had a hundred of his vids saved.

ultimately i'm speculating but i think there are a couple things at play here. first would be the usual profile retiring and/or xham doing their usual copyright claim wave of deletions. those are normal and most people are used to them. there also appears to be a glitch, for lack of a better word, that removed X number of videos. what i noticed on my profile was that the glitch removed about 20 of my most recent saved favorites but 3 of those videos have returned back into my favs (in the normal order that i saved them) over the past 24 hours or so. its like they are doing a system restore on a PC; i'm hopeful that most of those videos will show back up in my favs.

If you guys notice, a lot of the vids that say "deleted" all came from one user. All the vids with titles like "N.N. Deepthroat Slut" or "D.D. Throat Fucked Slut." This guy always used initials in his titles so that xham wouldn't delete the vids. I wish I could remember who he was, but he obviously retired his profile, and now all his vids are gone. And I had a LOT of his vids saved to my favorites.

HOWEVER, there are many more vids that have just completely vanished from xhamster altogether. Not deleted, but vanished. Like Creampielsurpee said, entire pages of my faves are now gone.

to finalrequi3m : See here's the weirdest thing... a lot of those blowbang vids that you have in your favorites? I had them too, but they have completely disappeared! Obviously they haven't been deleted, because they are still in your favorites... but in mine they are just completely gone.

It's basically super annoying and frustrating. We spend a lot of time building our favorites library. Xhamster needs to care more.

Sorry for the inconvenience. Due to a glitch in our system many users have lost their saved Favorites. Our coders are working each day to try and restore as many as they can. There is nothing for you as the user to do for this, they will simply show up again if restored. Unfortunately, even with all the efforts they will put forth there is a chance that not 100% of the Favorites will be restored. We are sorry for this issue as we know users put much time into building their Favorites library to enjoy.

This is the response I got when I emailed them. So hopefully we'll get em back, so many of my absoslute favs are gone.

I decided to write back to here regarding your question on my profile, because this topic is about the same.

I have seen previously that when someone who has uploaded a lot of stuff and those uploads are added to other profiles (as a favorites), the time when the user deletes his/her account, those uploads are also deleted. But the strange thing is that I have also seen videos that are showing an uploader that doesn't exist anymore?!
Could this be some change how account content is managed in here or something?

I will ask this from the admins and let's see how they will respond.

Entire pages of my favorites are just gone. What used to be my page 4 is now my page 1.
