Fed up with attention whores
I understand people who don't upload any content and are here just to watch other people's pics and vids. They are frowned upon by some of the community, but I understand what they want.
I partially understand people who mark their profiles as private because they want to have a few good friends instead of many inactive ones. I think they can accomplish the same without marking their profiles as private, but anyway I understand their reasons.
What I *don't* understand is people who upload content of theirs, mark their profile as private, accept friends AND hide all their content behind passwords. What's the point of uploading content if you don't want to show it? You can just not upload anything and watch other people's content or try to make friends that way, however unlikely, it's fine, at least it makes sense.
And the funnier thing is, most of these people's content is not really astounding. I mean, if you produce high quality content, regardless of whether you monetize it or not, I can see some sense in only showing it sporadically. For example if you are Cassy Cassard, or Tiffany My Best Fetish, or The Pantyfreek, or The Spandex Angel, etc. then I can understand you a little bit more. But even those people who produce high quality content don't find any reasons to hide it, so why do you?
The only explanation I can come up with is: you want attention.
There is nothing wrong with wanting attention, we all want some of it more or less. But the best way you think you can get the attention you want is acting like those annoying immature Facebook girls who post things like "OMG you won't believe what happened me today!" and when some of her contacts comments asking "What happened?" they answer "It doesn't matter".
Well, newsflash: you are not special. And most people here don't respect you.
Do you know how you can feel special and also get the attention you seek, in a positive and constructive way? by creating high quality content and showing it to the community.
But I'm nobody to tell other people what to do, so if you want to keep acting like this, it is your right. But please stop wasting most people's time pretending you want to make friends and add value to the community.
Sorry about the rant, but I've been observing this trend growing lately and I don't enjoy it.
