Category Tags

Category Tags are provided by xH to enable uploaders to give viewers an insight into the type of content in a clip.
For example:- An Italian language clip with a B/G scene, an IR scene, a G/G scene and an orgy to finish it all off could be tagged Italian, Hardcore, Interracial, Lesbian and Group.
This is very useful for members who do not wish to view a particular type of content.
Unfortunately some members believe that the Lesbian tag should be reserved for clips that are G/G from start to finish.
These members are WRONG.
Correctly tagged clips enable viewers to see only what they wish to see.

Anyone besides me notice that about 6 months ago the number of different and not so different categories exploded? Some posters seem to go out of their way to have their video classified in as many categories as possible.

You're right that I misunderstood you. The vast majority of scenes on XH, at least in my experience, are single scenes from a movie and the majority of lesbian scenes, at least these days, are from lesbian only movies. So I wasn't considering the possibility of multi-scene clips from movies with both lesbian and straight content.

I still think that there ought to be a tag implying that a given clip has both lesbian and straight content but, lacking that, your use of lesbian as a tag for a clip with at least one scene of entirely lesbian content is correct.

In addition, I found your blog as a favorite on the page of a friend of mine but didn't notice that it was a favorite - I thought it was his blog and thought I was responding to him. My apologies. And I'm please to make your acquaintance.

BTW, you might want to add a clarification to the body of the blog to make it clear that you're referring to clips containing more than one scene.

to talonequ : I think you misunderstand me talonequ, in your example of a single scene that starts with 2 girls and adds a guy I would not class that as lesbian at all.
However in a longer clip or full movie upload that is made up of several individual scenes, it is not uncommon to find 1 or more scenes that are girl girl only, no male involvement at all.
In this case I believe that the Lesbian tag is fully justified, provided that it is not the only category that is tagged, there should be other categories tagged that indicate the varied types of content that make up the whole clip.

So, you're saying that a clip that starts with two women doing each other and then adds a man could reasonably be tagged "lesbian" because part of it is lesbian. I can see both points of view. Someone who really doesn't want to see a man would be annoyed.

How hard would it be for XH to add a category "partially lesbian" or some such thing, thus clarifying the content of the clip.
