Single men using women in Avatar

Why do so many single men put up pictures of women as their avatar? do they think we're fooled by the photo?

I am listed as a single but my wife is aware. and her pics are in my private area. hope you add us.

I use a pic of a woman as my avatar simply because I like women, especially those similar to my avatar selection.

I've noticed that also. I understand that some people like to add new pics to there profile from time to time I try and keep the same one so people can find me.

What difference does it make what I use as an avatar pic??? If I am listed as a male and looking for women/couples... My current avatar pic I borrowed with permission from 1awesome because she is a lovely lady and reminds of the gal I had on my "short term" board when I was getting ready to get out of the service... it was common practice in the military to do this... Have a nice day!!!

I've never understood this either... I guess the explanation below makes sense, but still... seems weird how many guys have female avatars. Just my 2 cents
