The Rites of Patriarchy pt.I
....*sigh*...Just, *sigh*.
"This scary news is not much old. Featured in various publications a month back, it was all over the news, but we are sure most of you still don’t know about it.
Mary was brutally attacked at the Notting Hill Carnival, and the selfie of her bruised and bloodied face shows the darker side of Europe’s biggest street festival.
Posting the picture on her Facebook page, Mary explained that the attack happened after she asked a man to stop groping her: ‘A man in the crowd grabbed my arse. When I told him not to he did it again. I pushed him away, exercising my right to tell a man to stop touching my body without my permission, so he took a swing at me and punched me in the face.’
Mary then spent the next nine hours in A&E being treated for her injuries.
But despite this sickening attack, she has vowed to remain defiant: ‘Maybe it’d be safer to just ignore it when someone invades your space and body. But I can honestly say I will always stand up to someone who thinks they can get away with this behaviour and I’d take a punch again from this looser or any other looser [sic] who thinks it’s OK to treat women like this.’
And Mary’s attack wasn’t an isolated incident. Police made 252 arrests this year, eight of which were for GBH, and four for sexual offences.
According to the Evening Standard, the Metropolitan police have confirmed that an investigation is underway."

So I guess it's her fault, right? She probably should've not dressed so provocatively. Or she's in a public place and the man probably felt lively because of the environment and spur of the moment he just gave a bit of attention. She should be flattered.....I mean it was just a little pinch on the butt....I mean she respectfully asked him to stop, but he doesn't HAVE to...he's man. Pffft, she should've ignored it. And HOW DARE SHE push him away? She started, it...it's not in her right to do such a thing and what follows is all her fault. She's just lucky he didn't do anything further. When will these women know their place and realize they have no rights and cannot fight back!?
*sigh*....Good day.
