A poem from a friend
{Not my work, s friends beautiful gift for me to share)Slowly walking in the forest, trying to find inner peace,
late in the day, darkness slowly advancing, just barely creeping, the loss of my loved oneshas my heart weeping.
Deep in the forest I roam, so jo one can hear my agonizing groans, barely seeing the pathmy feet follow with steps oh so light, from the treetops down float beams of moon light.
Suddenly I freeze im standing in the place that has called to my heart, for in the clearing I see a circle of stones not far apart, the treesarch high overhead of me, I am not at ease, not a sound is heard jot even a mouse fart.
As I enter the circle, lighting my pipe praying for peace and strength from the creator to come to me,
Before me in a fires light stands a warrior strong and tall dancing with all his might as a drum beat fills the night, from his colorful headdress upon his head to the beaded moccasins on his feet, what a handsome sight.
As the warrior looks across the fireat me , then skywards yelling out PEACE, as the drum plays long and strong, I feel as nothing in my life can go wrong, time stands still as I watch in awe, the treetops open on a clear stary nighta moon beam hits my facethe warrior and fire dissappear without a trace.
The echo of the drum fills my heart as I ask my self,"Was this real, did I see what I thought iseen, justwhat is the deal, or a crazy dream?"
A gentle night breeze brings me the warriors word of peace, I feel the wind on my skin yet nothing is moving all standing still as my heart begins to chill my agony is no more, I feel hope and peace more and more.
