Live Cam Entertainment

I have been a user of xHamster, in one way or another, for several years now. Until quite recently, I had not visited LiveCams. I now visit xHamster as often to view the Cams as I used to visit for porn and my friends who like porn. I think that I am one of few women who like it, or it least who are bold enough to visit and enjoy the cam entertainers.

Years ago, I was what we then called, an exotic dancer. I think I relate to the camroom entertainers because it is such a difficult job. In some ways, I envy the camroom entertainers because they do not have to physically touch, or be touched by, the customers, as I did when I danced. On the other hand, it seems to me, even more difficult to earn a living in the virtual world, than it was to do it live. But I have watched and thought about it, and have a few conclusions that may be worth sharing. I do this, not for those who have found their own ways work very well, but for the new, the uninitiated, and the starving. I know that every entertainer does this for reasons of her/his own, but in the end, making money at it has got to be fundamental. I would love to have feedback.

1. Choose a language. Permit only that language to be used in your room. For each entertainer it may be different. If you cannot understand what is going on in your own room, it will be very difficult for you to control what goes on and to maximize your paying customers. You can always use other languages, if you know them, in pms and in comments on profile pages of those who earn your attention.

2. Take the time to make a profile. The profile page is free advertising. Brief is fine, but be specific about what you are good at. If you are good at everything, do not be afraid to say so. Until someone gets to "virtually" know you, your profile page is you. Make them want to visit you.

3. Do not take direction from those who do not tip, unless you know them and they have tipped before. Your paying customers do not like freeloaders and will leave your room if those who do not pay control the action. At least occasionally, give your paying visitors something free. It makes them feel that you like them for something other than their tips. Only you know whether or not that is true. And it makes them feel good.

4. Do not beg for tips. Do not direct people to tip. Those who do not tip will not do so because you beg, berate or scold them. Those who tip do so because they like you, they like what you do, and most of all, because it makes them feel good about themselves. You want your visitors to feel good about themselves. That is why they come. If you beg or demand tips of those who would tip anyway, they will feel that your interest is solely monetary and they will not feel "good". You want them to feel good.

I do not know if xHamster gives you these kinds of directions before they establish you as an entertainer, but they should. I have a lot more to say about cam entertainment, but those who know me know that I usually say too much. I hope no one takes offense at this, as I have never been a cam entertainer myself. I just feel some compassion, and many of the entertainers are so good, I admire them and they do make me feel sexy. I thank them for that.
