Thinking #1 Size

Well I decided to start this just because I have been thinking about something and just wanted to know if I was the only one.

The topic of size came to mind a quite a few years ago. I have noticed on articles that says the average penis size is anywhere from 5.0-5.7 when hard. Is that big or do women want something bigger. I have noticed on porn's and other things that women will say there boyfriend or husband has a big dick when it could be average or smaller, is this something women tell guys. This has given me insecurities about my size. Now I know I am not going to have the biggest dick out there, but after noticing this I start thinking was girls just telling me I had a big dick, because they liked me.
