Copyright ?__?

Today, for the first time, i upload some files... I read the funny rules, but when i reach this one:

• NEVER upload porn that is copyrighted, unless you are the author or have permission from their owner to post it, or you'll get anal punishment from Rocco Siffredi!

i think a thing:
If someone respect this rule xHamster will vanish. Take copyrighted videos from a free site don't make them "free" contents.

I love xHamster!

In this regard, a user wrote a message of protest on the forum (http://xhamster.uservoice.com/) by MyrtlePotter2 (http://xhamster.com/user/MyrtlePotter2)
The message was removed after one day, and with it my reply. So I decided to quote my idea here!

I fully understand your point of view and, no doubt, you have the law on your side. But if you examine the situation from a broader point of view you'll see that things are much more complex. If all follows the law you speak of (users and administrators), xHamster and all similar sites should remove about 80% of the videos. If you add also the privacy laws should also eliminate almost all webcam sessions. The Great Mayors of porn and many porn sites, see the sites of streaming as a showcase for their products and one email would be sufficient to force xHamster to remove the incriminates videos ... why do not they do it? ^___^
As I said, I think you're right, but what you should worry about is actively protect your interests (add watermarks is a system that works, especially if it is semitransparent and at the center of the screen).
I also have problems with copyright. I remember when for the first time I found the songs of my band on Napster and more recently I saw my books on the p2p network ... this is a problem that can not be solved, but we must learn to take advantage of the situation ^___^

I always took this as more a case of xHamster covering there own asses (as they should) rule. This clause removes the responsibility away from them and leaves them only with the responsibility to remove said material upon complaint.
I would think 80% is a very conservative figure, I think it would truly be closer to 95%. How many people seek permission to post anything (try none) and that only leaves self made stuff which is in the severe minority even among those that claim it is...

Shhhh....don't talk about copyright
You upload copyrighted material and you take the risk it gets deleted. That's everyone's choice. I believe that Teg is correct - that is what the DCMA link at the bottom of every page is for - for use by copyright owners only.
For the record, I admit to unknowingly uploading copyright material (some of which has been deleted) and know of others here who do so but as far as I know no-one has even received a warning or had their account cancelled for doing this.

i believe that remark made by MPotter was aimed at me.....I saw it posted somewhere....But apparently it is upto the owner of the copywrite who should complain and not no-one else can ask for copywrite material to be removed....
