I raised the same point some years ago. It’s a stupid system, and allows viewers to anonymously be negative towards others’ efforts, without saying why. People who downvote are probably lazy, and don’t actually offer anything themselves.

Sometimes I vote a video down if xhamster recommends it for me and it has elements that I especially don't like. I downvote it to influence the xhamster algorithms to stop promoting those types of videos to me. It's not saying it's a bad video for others but I don't want to see more like that.

I rarely downvote. All I do is upvote or I don't if the film is crap. It's rare to find a crap one unless it has say 10mins with 8min of chat with little sex.
