I hope that there is a backlash against dominant porn culture, which so consistently diminishes female experience and perpetuates a deeply unsettling and damaging image of what constitutes female sexuality. Most of the 'Yanks' videos seem to get the balance right, though if I were to offer the producers some feedback, I'd tell them that their introductory titles, in music and style, are entirely inappropriate for the material (I suspect Lily Campbell is not behind that decision). The title sequence just gives the wrong impression, sets the wrong mood, because there is so much more to these films than its pseudo-raunchy guitar riff implies.
