Stockholm syndrome

Stockholm syndrome is a condition in which hostages develop a psychological bond with their captors during captivity. Emotional bonds may be formed between captors and captives, during intimate time together, but these are generally considered irrational in light of the danger or risk endured by the victims. Stockholm syndrome has never been included in the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders or DSM, the standard tool for diagnostic of psychiatric illnesses and disorders, mainly due to the lack of a consistent body of academic research. The syndrome is rare: according to data from the FBI about 5% of hostage victims show evidence of Stockholm syndrome.

This term was first used by the media in 1973 when four hostages were taken during a bank robbery in Stockholm, Sweden. The hostages defended their captors after being released and would not agree to testify in court against them. It was noted that in this case, however, the police were perceived to have acted with little care for the hostages' safety, providing an alternative reason for their unwillingness to testify. Stockholm syndrome is paradoxical because the sympathetic sentiments that captives feel towards their captors are the opposite of the fear and disdain which an onlooker might feel towards the captors.

There are four key components that characterize Stockholm syndrome:

A hostage's development of positive feelings towards the captor
No previous relationship between hostage and captor
A refusal by hostages to cooperate with police forces and other government authorities (unless the captors themselves happen to be members of police forces or government authorities).
A hostage's belief in the humanity of the captor because they cease to perceive the captor as a threat when the victim holds the same values as the aggressor
Stockholm syndrome is a "contested illness" due to doubt about the legitimacy of the condition. It has also come to describe the reactions of some abuse victims beyond the context of k**nappings or hostage-taking. Actions and attitudes similar to those suffering from Stockholm syndrome have also been found in victims of sexual abuse, human trafficking, terror, and political and religious oppression.

and no I dont have Stockholm syndrome :)

to Nickyhere : Ballerina ? oooo god baby ! I love watching ballet. I wanted to be a ballerina until I turned like 16 but I stil dance . I mostly dance a style called shuffle dance if you know what it is. Easy to check up on youtube of course and you should if you have not already because its such a fun dance so it keeps me in great shape without having to do anything I find really hard or boring. I also feel so fucking sexy when I have my yoga outfit on and I do my moves . Would you have any interest in using a pic of me as your avatar where I am wearing a red swimsuit, a dress or my dance outfit ?. I would not feel uncomfortable if you used an actual pic of me as long as its not a pic where my pussy is visible

to Sara1932 : I had galleries of my own pictures. The site destroyed them along with all my other legitimate galleries. I have in the past had my picture as my avatar. My main avatar is my ballerina.

to Nickyhere : I actually love that you change your avatar so often because I actually change mine too also depending on my mood . I am however really hot so of course I only use pics of my own cute face and super model body . I am sure you look pretty sexy yourself though and that you probably just dont want to show your own face to 200k people on a porn site. I started with pics I had a filter on, also pics where I did not show my face and pics where I had a pretty sexy cat mask on but I prefer to wear it on my head so it does not cover anything so after a little while I just uploaded pics with my whole face and sometimes my body as well showing but not naked though because I am actually a pretty good girl

to Nickyhere : Of course I understand. I know I have a lot less friends than you do but even so I also find it difficult to stay in touch with most of them actually. I hope you still write me a comment from time to time well if you have something to say. I dont want you to write me just for the sake of it . P.S that is a hot new avatar you are using

to Wolfje210301 : Well of course men can have it too but since its a bit like needing some authoritative person to take care of you and who you can depend on I do think women might have a more natural draw to it. Thats just my own thoughts on it though. Thanks for commenting
