Traci Lords aka Nora Louise Kuzma

Bio
Screen Name: Traci Lords
Birth Name: Nora Louise Kuzma
DOB: May 7 1968
Former American Porn Actress 1984 - 1986

Wiki (Condensed):
Lords got into the adult film industry by using a fake birth certificate to conceal the fact that she was two years under the legal age of 18.
Lords starred in adult films and was one of the most sought-after actresses in the adult entertainment industry during her career. When the FBI acted on an anonymous tip that Lords was a minor during her time in the industry, and that pornographers were distributing and selling these de facto i*****l images and videotapes, the resulting fallout led to prosecution of those responsible for creating and distributing. In addition, all but the last of her adult films were banned.

On July 17, 1986, video rental shops and adult movie theaters in the US scrambled to withdraw from their shelves all hardcore material featuring Lords in order to avoid prosecution for distributing c***d pornography. John Weston, attorney of the Adult Film Association of America, said distributors should withdraw any movie made before May 1986, featuring Lords "in sexual conduct, no matter how briefly". The withdrawal of Lords' movies from the market cost the industry millions of dollars. Government prosecutors declared that Lords was a victim of a manipulative industry, maintaining that she was d**gged and made to do non-consensual acts. Industry insiders, including Ron Jeremy, Tom Byron, Peter North, and Ginger Lynn said they never saw her use d**gs and that she was always fully aware of her actions. While most of her movies were permanently removed from distribution in the United States, several were re-edited to remove Lords' scenes entirely (such as Kinky Business and New Wave Hookers), or in a few cases, had new footage filmed with a different actress playing her part (as in Talk Dirty to Me Part III). The only movie legally available in the United States was Traci, I Love You, filmed in Cannes, France only two days after her 18th birthday.

Opinion:
d**gged ?? Coerced ?? forced ?? Pfft! I Highly doubt it.
Nora Kuzma knew exactly what she was doing , even though a lot of the scenes she filmed were undoubtedly "over the top", she was bright eyed and fully aware of what she was doing and even seemed to enjoy it. This girl knowingly and willingly stepped into the adult industry , no one twisted her arm or forced her, and she willfully lied about her age in order to do it. Anyone forced against their will to make porn moves would show on film, first off they would never look into the camera out of guilt or shame, but to the contrary, Nora Kuzma looked straight into the camera with lust in her eyes. And the accusation of substance abuse would have shown BIG TIME.
Then in step the Feds, they take Nora into custody and only one of two things could have happened , 1.) they talked her into turning on the industry that turned her into a star or 2.) she herself turned on the industry that turned her into a star to save her own skin.
Lets face it, the Feds could give a shit about Nora Louise Kuzma and she could have kept right on going in the porn business for all they gave a shit, not many know this but they had the chance to put and end to it all before it even started back in 1984 when Nora first started posing nude in Velvet Magazine, someone who knew her called the Feds to inform them and their response was "there is nothing we can do about it" why? because they never thought she would ever become famous, her age NEVER even played a factor or was taken into consideration, they could have given a rats furry ass about some young girl in the porn business. But years later, after she became famous, they realized there was money to be had in an industry they despised and they also needed to save face, what would happen to the feds if Nora came out on her own later in life to tell her story? Especially if it came out that they knew about it and did nothing about it, so they needed to do something.
You see in the United States , as long as there is money to be had or gotten by the federal government it is pretty much a get out of jail free card for 95% of those prosecuted, just don't run out of money or your done for. Jeffery Epstein is the perfect example, But Jeffery had too much money and it could not get out that some of the most powerful upper echelon of this country have a real hunger for the taboo, if you know what I mean, and even though it is all on record as far as who and when, I highly doubt anyone involved that paid for those services will ever do one day in prison, which is why Jeffery paid with his life, if he is not on some small tiny island in the middle of the Pacific sucking on Mai Tai's right now, it's kind of suspicious how right before he "died" that all his wealth was transferred to his brother .... LMAO

Should the adult industry had better checks and balances in place? absolutely, but one needs to understand about the late 1970's and early 1980's , if you were over f******n years of age back then, you probably had a fake ID, hell I did!
I can GUARANTEE Nora Kuzma was NOT the only one or the first one of her situation in the adult industry, look at the early Ginger Lynn movies can you honestly tell me she was of legal age? I think not.
Back in the late 70's and early 80's your ID was your drivers license, there were no picture, thumbprints or anything else like that on them like we have today, it was pretty much a piece of thick paper with your license number, name and address on it, fake ID's ran rampant back then and they were pretty damn easy to duplicate.
At 16 I myself had facial and chest hair , I was going to bars , clubs, adult theaters and sex clubs myself. There was no way to REALLY verify someones age back then, unless it was blatant just by looking at them, no one walked around with a birth certificate in their back pocket and even those that did could have been VERY EASILY falsified, I can tell you personally that my original birth certificate was printed on cheap assed paper with absolutely no raised stamp on it typed out on any run of the mill typewriter, it could have been very easily falsified had I wanted it done.

But the real thing that gets me , after it was all said and done, if Nora Louise Kuzma REALLY wanted to escape the "stigma" of the industry that d**gged , forced and coerced her into having sex "against her will" because any sane minded person would, don't you think she would have dropped the Traci Lords name by now? her film career continues to this day, what little of it she has, but she STILL goes by the name Traci Lords, what does that tell you? it tells me she is a hypocrite and a liar, she is still sucking off the industry that made her famous.
She probably would still be doing porn and be making a better living than in mainstream Hollywood had she not been pointed out and then thrown the entire industry under the bus.

Bottom line is that Traci Lords pulled the wool over the eyes on the adult industry, she entered it willingly and knowingly, she lied about her age and provided false documentation to do so, she enjoyed the fame it got her and still does to an extent this day, then turned on it so save her own dick loving ass from going to jail.
She is a woman who will never be remembered for her small mainstream films but as a girl who willingly made a very poor judgement to make easy money i*****lly in the porn industry, no one can tell me she was forced into it, lied to or even remotely d**gged ( at least ones taken willingly) , she knew it was wrong and she knew what the laws were and still chose to do it, a stigma that will not only stick with her but with the Kuzma family for generations to come. Whenever you do a search of Traci Lords or Nora Louise Kuzma, every encyclopedia and internet search will forever read "Former American Porn Actress" , her mainstream movie efforts will fade over time, but lying about her age in order to do porn never will, it's her legacy and what she will be forever remembered for.

Should her movies be banned? well I guess it depends on who you to talk to, they are still widely available if you know where to look , hell they are even legal in most other countries. I am of the opinion that they will never truly go away. I purchased a lot of them back when it was legal to do so in the early 80's and own VHS copies that I have since converted to digital, don't even bother to ask me for copies because it will never happen.
Personally , I don't think so, why? because I believe that there are classic adult movies still on the shelves with a lot more actors and actresses in them that mimic the Traci Lords (Nora Louise Kuzma) scenario, it was only her situation that was brought to light, tons of others got away with it.
