Fake Memory part 2

I was talking with family and the conversation turned to traveling and relying on the gps. I almost told them about my experience when I went downtown and the gps was messing up and I had to go to a bar. It was the fake memory except that I kinda forgot it was fake. My thinking went like this. "I should tell them about the time I got lost so badly without gps that I had to stop at a bar for directions... I driving around downtown, trying to find my way back to the highway to get home and the gps was messing up.
