My "coming of age" underwear story
Hello Guys and Girls (probably guys, mostly), So, as you may have noticed, I have a thing for underwear! I believe I was about 18 or 19 when I developed this fascination (or fetish, if you will). It began when I saw one of my friends, whom I was having casual hook ups with, in a pair of Hanes bikini briefs. At that point, I was familiar with the standard "tighty whitie", ubiquitous boxer and the hybrid boxer brief. But, "bikini" briefs. This was something of a whole new ball ground for me (wink, wink)! Where do you buy these? Do I need a code to obtain them? How "gay" do I look with a pack of these in my hands at the check out? Yes, at that time, I gave two about what people thought (now I only give half a , true story). Those were all questions that ran through my mind. So, finally, I decided, "What the hell. It's not like people will see them!" So, I bought my first pair of "low rise trunks" from Old Navy (living on the edge, I know). They were the most scandalous thing everso I didn't wear them. Partially because I wasn't used to them, and also because they were "low rise." Oooooooh! Shortly after, I hurried down to the local Walmart (that is where I awkwardly stalked the underwear section), and grabbed by a pair pack of the Hanes bikini briefs. Hardly wore those out much. They were just, "meh." I'll be damned, though, if I didn't like how I looked in them. It must have been junior year in college when I left behind the world of the "multipack" and bought singles. The first pairs of designer underwear I bought was from Macy's and they were: a 2xist white sports brief, 2xist black low rise brief, and Calvin Klein Steel Micro Trunk (still available today). Happy 22nd birthday to me! One of the best purchases I have ever made. Since then, my collection has ever proliferated to included trunks, briefs, low rise anything, thongs and jocks (far and in between) in different materials such as pima cotton mesh, and silk. I love bold and daring patterns! However, the basic solids and material definitely have their place in my arsenal of unmentionables. As of now, I have over 90 pairs of underweardifferent designers and brands
. To me, underwear isn't just something you throw on in the morning and go! It is a statement! For me, the statement was "this is a fun, laid back guy." At least that is what I wanted my American Eagle trunks (what every good gayor straight guyshould have as a base) to say when I bent over the chemistry lab bench and my waist band showed. They also give a certain confidence. For instance, I had a HUGE presentation that required a three piece suit, prepared speech, and knowledge of BS for the Q&A session. Underneath that well presented exterior, I wore a pair of "Clever black Mesh Bars trunks" (also still availablein one of my pictures). I felt so powerful in that moment! Why? Because I was barely wearing anything under my suit, and it was my little . One that would make everyone blush if they knew. So, that is my "coming of age" underwear story. Sorry if it seemed a little scatterbrained. I decided to type this on a whim. So, what's your story? I'd love to hear how ventured into the realm of "my one pair of briefs cost more than a week of your boxers."
