Wuat almost happened in vegas...and what did.

my college roommate, Rick, came out of the closet a couple years after graduation. he wascd the stereotypical gay man except for the vehement denial. he even married after school. a girl we knew from school that loved him dearly...but she confided in me one night that he was decidedly gay. that is another story. they divorced...he embraced his homosexuality.

he invited me and another old college friend to come to vegas where he had gained some notoriety as a hair dresser to the stars. did I mention he had embraced his self?

after many drinks (prerequisite) he took us to a club frequented by cd's and transsexuals. there must have been twenty passible Cher's there. this was a while back. big crowd. great mix of fun people. I was intrigued by the beautiful people, women and men alike.

I was particularly drawn to a beautiful tiny Japanese girl. she was with three Asian friends, one of which was kind enough to translate for us. not that we needed a lot of verbal communication. the attraction was mutual. we kissed and grinded on the dance floor. then kissed at every opportunity for an hour until her girls were ready to leave...to a small party. my girl asked her girls to invite me.

"may I bring my friends?" I didn't care...I was infatuated with this winsome, doe eyed, sexy, Asian beauty I had found. I would follow her anywhere.

"hai"

it wasn't hard to find my crew. they had been observing me. I told them of the after party, and let's go. Rick told me the angel I had been frolicking with was a guy. My other "straight" friend was laughing. "Ninety percent guys in her", Rick said. "pretty guys, but dudes"

I was torn...devoutly straight at the time...but this creature was the most beautiful thing I had ever seen.

I left with my boys.
