Caking

I have had few people tell me that caking is in. I have bought guys gifts on their birthday, christmas, valentines, ect. I have even bought them a few things just because. Now I hear that caking is whats hot. I am not really familiar of what really you do that is considered caking. I hear that caking is basically taken care of someone. So is buying a few gifts taken care of someone? What is consider to be classified as caking? Do some guys want people to cake them? I have friend to just buy a nigga a car, gives him money, and buys him all kinds of things. He is a cool guy, but I wonder does he really likes my friend or just in it for the money. So what is caking?
