"Be who you are and say what you feel. Because those who mind, don't matter. And those who matter, don't mind." - Dr. Seuss
Peace is a lie. There is only Passion.
Conflict forces one to better oneself. It forces change, growth, adaption, evolution… or death.
―Yuthura Ban
The "peace" of the Jedi, meaning the lack of conflict, was an agent of stagnation. Conflict, however, was seen as the source of progress for both the single beings and the civilizations. She also stated that the necessity of conflict was a law of the universe and not just a Sith thinking. Fundamentally, the Code of the Sith expressed their rejection of selflessness and their full embrace of passion and lust.
Through Passion, I gain Strength.
It is our goal to be stronger, to achieve our potential and not rest upon our laurels. We are the seekers, not the shepherds.
―Yuthura Ban
The Sith saw themselves as seekers, challengers of old and stagnant ways, in touch with the laws of nature and the universe. They saw the Jedi as denying their natures and afraid of the truth around them. Yuthura Ban gave examples of the tuk'ata hunting prey, feeding on weaker creatures. Passions were what kept all creatures—from the most rudimentary to the most evolved sentient—alive. Yuthura Ban explained this to the amnesiac Revan, To think us creatures beyond the need of simple passions is a delusion. They believed that mastery of their passions gave them strength the Jedi lacked.
Through Strength, I gain Power.
Through Power, I gain Victory.
Without strife, the victory has no meaning. Without strife, one does not advance. Without strife, there is only stagnation.
―Yuthura Ban
The Sith did not believe that victory by any means was desirable, but believed that unless victory proved your superiority, it was an illusion and temporary. Though there might be different types of victories—peaceful victory, victory by sacrifice, even a truce—Sith dogma taught that unless the victory was achieved by demonstrating that one's power was superior it was not true victory. The stronger a Sith became in the Force, the more power he could achieve, but he always had to fight for that power.
Through Victory, My chains are Broken.
One who has freed themselves from all restrictions has reached perfection… their potential fulfilled. Perfect strength, perfect power, perfect destiny.
―Yuthura Ban
According to Yuthura Ban, the chains represented a being's restrictions; not just a Sith but any being in the universe. The restrictions could be those placed upon a being by someone else, or restrictions that one placed upon oneself. The ultimate goal of any Sith was to free himself from such restrictions, but not in the simplistic meaning of just being able to do whatever he wanted. The Sith desired to free themselves in order to reach perfection and fulfill their potential. They wanted perfect strength, perfect power, and perfect destiny, which, in turn, allowed one to do whatever they wanted for the most part. The person who had these abilities was known as the Sith'ari.
The Force shall Free me.
The Sith'ari will be free of limits.
The Sith'ari will lead the Sith and destroy them.
The Sith'ari will raise the Sith from death and make them stronger than before.
The Sith'ari Prophecy was considered too sacred to be put into writing by the Kissai, who passed it on verbally from generation to generation.
I am Sith. I understand, embrace and live through the Code of the Sith. While I do not claim perfection in any way, shape or form, I always strive towards such in every endeavor I undertake. I do not expect to ever reach such perfection because, after all, I am only human. Though by constantly working to improve myself, I feel that with constant struggles within myself, with others, with activities I perform or try to learn, it makes the success all the more gratifying.
If you couldn't tell thus far, I'm a very large nerd, dork, geek, what have you. I'm a gamer, I love the outdoors and I enjoy writing from time to time.
1. I'm brutally honest.
This one should be rather self-explanatory. A lot of the time, I've been asked for my opinions on subjects or my perspective on people/events and most of the time, while I will give you my perspective, sometimes it can seem abrasive, offensive or even derogatory. While none of those things are the intent behind my words, they are just based upon my own personal experiences that I've had.
2. I'm very high energy and intense.
With this, what I mean is that when I'm socializing, I can some times be very animated and goofy, to a somewhat...annoying degree, I suppose. Hand gestures, sound effects and even sometimes funny faces.
3. I'm a very passionate person.
What this means is when I'm talking about a subject that I strongly relate to or that I have a great deal of interest in, I can get very excited during the discussion. That means sometimes my voice can get louder without my realizing it, my usual "animated" nature becomes more exaggerated and/or pronounced and I can sometimes end up talking waaay too much or interrupt the person without realizing I'm doing so.
4. I don't take rejection very well.
Now I would first like to point out that I'm not speaking about being turned down for a scene or play or something like that, you know, the small things. What I'm referring to is more bordering betrayal and things of that nature. An example would be if someone was to say that they are a friend, we do things together outside of just events, we hang out, we chat and then suddenly, when it comes time for me to ask for help from them in some way, they're always busy or it's inconvenient for them. Or perhaps I find out that those friend(s) are really just playing the high school games of gathering info, spreading gossip and talking crap behind my back. That kind of rejection is something I can't take lightly and it's not a sadness that I feel as a result, but rather a frustration and anger. Both at myself as well as them.
5. Just because I'm civil and respectful towards you, does NOT mean that I like you.
I wish this was a brutal truth for most people I've met but that's for another writing. Anyways, whenever I'm out and about, if I see someone I don't get along with or have negative feelings towards, I'm not going to blatantly be snarky or disrespectful. I'm not going to cause a giant scene or spread rumors or gossip about them. Hell, I'm not even going to get that whole "silent but obviously awkward" demeanor around them. I'll be friendly and respectful, say hello, shake hands/hug (whatever their preference because hugs don't bother me) and I'll even carry on a conversation with the person. However, keep in mind that just because I seem to be getting along with you and that I'm being friendly, doesn't mean that I consider you a friend. It's called common courtesy and being respectful. However, that DOESN'T mean that I'm going to go around spreading rumor, talking trash and giving someone a bad reputation, it just means that my actions are to keep the peace and positive energy in the environment, nothing more, nothing less.
6. It takes a lot for me to forgive someone who has done me wrong.
I suppose I should preface this one with this statement: This is not the same thing as holding a grudge. If someone has broken my trust, created drama or tried to come between me and the people I care about? While I will eventually move past the anger, frustration and hurt you caused me, it will take me a great deal of time to truly forgive you and even if/when I do, it's not going to be without some kind of discussion and apology for the actions committed. Even if that means apologizing for something I did to you that I was not aware of.
