My name is Joshua and I am a 27 yr old young man. I have been through a lot in my life upto this point, and it seriously hasn’t been an easy road that I wouldn’t wish on anyone. I was born in 1985, grow-up in a very broken home and survived 12 yrs of abuse from my father. He then abandoned my family just after I turned 12 and I felt at that time it was the best thing in my life but I see now that it was only a good thing that had happened. From there my family and I moved from Minneapolis to Luverne, MN. At the time of the move I didn’t know what was to come, the abuse continue through other family members until I realize I couldn’t hide my sexuality any longer and my mother kicked me out of the housenever to return.

Then in 2001, I lost my grandmother to emphysema and an allergic overdose of penicillin after she underwent open-heart surgery on 3 of 4 valves. Needless to say I again began to think what else could go wrong. Then in 2003 I had found and lost the love of my life, someone I had known since I was in grade school. We started dating in June of that year and it ended very abruptly when he was killed in a Motor Vehicle Homicide. I tried to pick up the pieces and move on but it took me 7.5 years to finally be able to live my life and find someone new. After losing him, I went through 2 years of physical therapy and musculature rehabilitation because when the homicide happened I was involved by way of both of us being run over.

Then in 2005, My son was born and then was taken from this world in 2007 due to shaken baby syndrome. I never got to see him because he was adopted the day he was born. Again I tried my best to hold it together but I lost it and almost committed suicide myself. After that I prayed to GOD wishing he would stop taking my loved ones away from me but that was not the case because in September 2008, I lost my cousin Bubba and then in January of 2010, GOD tested me yet again by taking both of my Paternal Grandparents away from me.
