COVID-19 and my future.

I am working towards living on a sailboat.

The sacrifice has been immense. New gadget? no. But bmore, switches are cheap? No. Xeon processors are are on sale! No. But this, but that, No.

I have spent most of my life doing what OTHERS thought was best for me, not anymore.

I am buying a sailboat, I am prepping and fixing it, I am crossing the Atlantic. Full stop.

A friend owned a 30 foot live aboard in Florida. We would call him once a week and talk awhile. He would share his adventures of the sea & people he would meet. It was all good until he met a woman & daughter, who had their own 40 foot live aboard. First, she took him water in an anti-freeze jug one day. It poisoned and nearly killed him. He forgave and continued hanging around mother and daughter. Turns out wife was married and daughter had husband in prison. Finally, one evening he was on their boat when low and behold they looked over and saw that his boat had been set afire. All he could do was watch it go down in flames. Conspiracy suggest the incident was related to her husband. However, no facts we gathered. It was an adventure alright. He is alive and well and currently living in West Virginia. Anyways, best wishes on your dreams to sea.
