IV - TO THE GIRL WHOSE NAME I NEED NOT ASK

scars on my body
telling stories
of the past

i am neither
young
nor
old

but suffer
for
you and I
- we both
are lonely

with burden
for the future
with nails and needles
glowing red
in our hearts

silent images
running over your skin
your face
alight
the air on fire
your eyes
akin

how should
i know
if life
was folly

your words
are paint
on this canvas
art?
no - history

barren lands
of tenderness
and pain

i strife
through
mountains
high

lose faith
and sink
deep within
your smile

if spells are meant
to be broken
pleasures are lost
in vain

i can see that
black chain
hanging
from the sky

what do you see
a secret truth
or hidden kingdoms
burried in a poor mans
eye
