Christmas parties...
It's almost Christmas! And earlier this week I had my Christmas party with work. Some of my friends seemed to have awesome ones (big posh marquees, or really fancy bars booked for them) whereas my bosses plumped for a pretty boring function room in a hotel kind of thing. A really nice hotel - and a free bar!! - but still.
Anyway, so you know how it works: colleagues turn up in their finery, chat, drink, eat, drink, start on he dancefloor, drink more, end up fighting or flirting or whatever - something always happens. So what's ever happened to you guys here??
I was actually a good girl before you all ask lol guilty of drinking and dodgy-dancing maybe, but really I just behaved. I got male colleagues hitting on me, but not at all impressive guys (and drunk, and facing them the next day was hilarious). BUT, there's always some goings-on. One of a few amorous couples was this lady I know in the office (early 30s, married) and a fairly new guy (mid 20s I guess, don't really know him) - the flirting, the dancefloor moves, the public kiss.
Then however, me and a friend were heading to the loo when we kind of stumbled across this couple in another (unused) function room - they were pissed but really should try closing the door lol. Anyway, they didn't see us - it was dark and stuff, but we could see them more than they could see us. Him: standing; her: kneeling in front of him. You get the picture! Of course we didn't exactly just stand and watch until 'completion' lol but we had to watch a little - just to be sure what we saw was really happening of course! BUT, it seems others may have seen this too (or the guy is a complete ass-hat), as most of the office now know stuff happened away from the dancefloor - I certainly didn't say anything.
So, to the point: this guy has been at work this week with a huge grin, whereas the lady has not been in the office since (calling in sick). Should she be that embarrassed? What goes on at Xmas party stays on Xmas party? What experiences do you guys have??
