Humanity will neither be suitable physically nor mentally to withstand interstellar travel before the next time our planetary host we call "Earth" either does something or has something happen to it causing the surface to become uninhabitable for us.

We, as a life-form, are scheduled for extinction. We are simply too primitive to be responsible for "Earth", or be considered for introduction to those beings who are.
