No erection, no marriage

I met my wife when i was 26 years old. I was still a virgin so I was pretty late. Things weren't going easy in the bedroom, and I mainly blamed my lack of experience. Little did i know how others had sex, but it was difficult for me to penetrate my wife. And although sex is not only about penetration, it made me very insecure. My dick only stayed hard for a few seconds and I had to be sure to penetrate during these seconds. Once inside her my dick would lose it, but I just went on knowing my wife would be disappointed. When trying to become parents it didn't work out and we went to see the doctor. Quickly it was clear the problem was with me. I hardly produce any cum, with little to no living seemen. Against my will my wife mentioned my lack of endurance. With one test it was clear I had a potency problem. Although i knew things weren't going well it was a shock for me knowing it was medical. There are several options to still get a proper erection but first the reason had to be known why I had this condition at this young age. I was sent to a neurologist and he found my nerves were not reacting to signals from my brains. The reason was and is unknown but during the following month it became clear I had a progressive disease. Due to this, probably congenital nerve disorder, medication would not help me getting a hard dick.
For my wife this was the reason for ending our marriage. We had agreed to take the adoption route to fulfill our dream, but we would have to work to make something of our sex life, and for my wife it was not worth it, and I don't blame her. Since then I have learned a lot about my body. Impotence was no longer my biggest issue, but losing bladder control was a shock. As it happened more often I really felt handicapped and not able to have a normal life anymore, let alone a relationship.
