Charissa Thompson: Battle after nude photo hack has been ‘unbelievable’

Charissa Thompson’s life turned in a second. Last January, Thompson, a Fox Sports NFL host, was enjoying her day when the news hit her: Nude photos of Thompson had been stolen from her iCloud and shared online.
PUBLIC NUDE PICTURES WAR!
Blac Chyna, originally named Angela White, was in recent headlines after Rob Kardashian, her ex-fiancé and father of her c***d, posted nude photos of Chyna July 5.
This created an all-out social media war across multiple platforms between the two that ended in the filing of a restraining order, Kardashian having his Instagram account suspended and Chyna alleging physical abuse.
While the reality stars have a long and jaded past with one another, there are a few central issues the mainstream and even topic-specific media have missed as their lives have unfolded before the general public over the past week.
The first component the mainstream media outlets overlook is that Kardashian posted nude photos of Chyna to social media without her consent. In California, this is considered “revenge porn,” which is the posting of sexually explicit portrayals of a person without their consent on any platform. Revenge porn is usually posted by a former sexual partner, typically for the purpose of causing emotional distress or shame. This directly ties into how our society has a very serious problem with consent, especially consent related to sexuality.
Mischa Barton is the most recent celebrity to be affected by the phenomenon, as the star has been forced to defend herself after reports of a revenge porn tape have emerged.
"My absolute worst fear was realised when I learned that someone I thought I loved and trusted was filming my most intimate and private moments, without my consent, with hidden cameras," she said.
YOUR COMPUTER (pictures & documents) HELD FOR RANSOM
If you see a pop-up window, webpage, or email message warning you that your computer has been locked because of possible i*****l activities, you might be a victim of a criminal extortion scam called ransomware.
Ransomware often masquerades as an official-looking warning from a well-known law enforcement agency, such as the US Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI).
The aim of ransomware is to prevent you from using your computer until you pay a fee (the “ransom”). If you get an email message or a warning like this, do not follow the payment instructions. If you pay the ransom, the criminals probably won’t unlock your computer and might even install more viruses or steal your personal and financial information.
REVENGE PORN ORIENTED Websites to Watch Out For:
File Fap, U Got Posted, Submit Your Ex, I Up Em, Porn IMG, Image Fap, Gallery Dump, Dump a Rump, Girlfriend Revenge, any Peer-to-Peer webservice. Other sites like Is Anyone Up / Is Anybody Down have been shuttered, but variants still exist in alternate forms on Tumblr and other social media centers.
Kevin Bollaert, 28, ran a now-defunct site called U Got Posted, where he encouraged men to send naked pictures of ex-lovers to get revenge. Bollaert linked to the social media accounts of women he posted. When women complained to Bollaert, he directed them to another website, Change My Reputation, which charged up to $350 to remove the pics. (KEVIN HAD A FINANCIAL INTEREST IN both U GOT POSTED and CHANGE MY REPUTATION!)
